这道题应该选A     D 选项中 with 为何不对？？？ 求大牛~    如果遇见 S+V+O， with+...     这种结构中 with是修饰 O 还是S？？？？

问题不在with，你要问的应该是D中的to be为什么不对！
E其实很接近正确，其实我就错选了E。E的问题可能在于are的时态不对！

我参考了别的大牛的答案，因为划线最后是a tectangle. 所以其所对应的也应为单数形式，即 a roof, 而 D，E选项都是复数，所以排除DE。   有别的看法，欢迎交流~

独立主格三种形式：
1)一般形式（独立部分与主句部分无太多关联）n.+n.，n.+V-ed/v-ing，n.+介词短语/形容词短语
2)with形式（与主句主语有紧密的逻辑关系）：with+宾语+宾补，如：with+n.+v-ed/v-ing/介词短语/形容词短语
3)each形式（必须前面有复数名词）： each+v-ed/v-ing，each+介词短语/形容词短语，each+n.+介词短语
*：with型独立主格在GMAT中常常被判累赘。

each和with都属于独立主格，这里原句的意思是每一个shade的roof是怎样的。我觉得最后in a rectangle，很重要，单数形式，所以和前面的each a roof搭配，如果是D选项，roofs则是复数形式
