C,我也同意你的观点，their指代的是fatty foods；C错误在于，fatty foods are consumed...at a comparable rate to the United States's；States's的所有格有问题，而且fatty foods与United States's 对比，一个是食物对比，一个是国家的食物对比，不平等
D,E选项中 in 【France and the US】，句中整个结构的话，以D选项为例，the rate of fatty food consumed ...is about the same ；光使用In France and the US的话，无法表现出他们的对比；我觉得要是让他们对比，在这基础上，the rate of fatty food consumed in France and in US is the same...

说得词不达意了。回头想好更好的语言再来。

C 中的 their指代的是people 因为如果指代fatty food 逻辑不合理 fatty food death rate 也太那啥了 c 的错误在于united state`s， 这个表达很困惑 united states 的什么？没有表达清楚

b 个人觉得是看成people in (France and United States) 。。这里的格式相比其它选项更清楚明白 即可以省略 in
