1）There is no consensus on what role, if any,is played by acid rain in damaged or slowed growth of forests in the eastern United States.
D的话，改变了句子意思，使得damaged or slowed作为形容词，in growth of forests.
There is no consensus on what role, if any,is played by acid rain in Damaging or slowing the growth of forests in the eastern United States.
E的话，acid rain in damaging or slowing；是对acid rain的修饰，说明了acid rain对the growth of forests的影响。

2）过去分词是得就近修饰的，them前面有governments，paychecks，会出现指代不清，你是可以读明白them指代谁，但是我要是说them指代paychecks的话，语法上也没错。而且A中修饰了paychecks，也就是说paychecks was assigned to UN；paychecks被assigned to UN，Doesn't make sense.；但是文中要表达的是，employee 被assigned to UN.（我想这应该属于错误的点）

3)A的话，their geometrical symmetries作同位语，对murals进行解析；C的话，改成了句子，M courtney-clarke has..., their geometrical symmetries are..., and they are....，they 与their 无指代，而且改变了句子意思，原文要的是对murals的解释，而C的划线部分改成了与主句并列的句子了。
