My questions is "as much as 20 percent of the leaf and small stem material" 应该被认为主语，那么，谓语应该是单数还是复数。

另外，如果有一句句子：

There ___  a piece of paper and a glass of water on the table. 此处应用is or are?

我的意思，当两个不同的不可数名词作主语时，动词应用单数还是复词？

1. as much as 决定了谓语单数形式, 虽然of 后面有两个dd并列, 但只能是作为一个整体, 句意也体现出来了;

2. there be句型中, be的单复数与后面一致, 既然是两个不同dd的并列, 自然是复数;

根据GMAT原理， 20 percent of+ 主语，如主语是可数名词，谓语用复数，主语是不可数名词，谓语用单数。

还有一问，如果是 20 percent of A and B 为主语，A 和B都是不可数名词，那此时谓语为何？

请再指点一下。
