yes, when i took the toefl cbt, there were only 20 people in the room. it's pretty quiet. and people are very nice. don't worry. no stress. even though it's around the food court in the building, however, it's really quiet. good luck!

In GMAT block I mentioned that these days some construction is present which makes so much noise that it may lead you unavoidable effect. I took GMAT test on Nov.30th, then I wrote email to ask if the noise making will still be present by next Jan. when I want to take TOEFL test, but the answer is "yes", refer to the following information pls, which is the answer from the prometric test center. So,up to yourself to keep everything balance. Good luck!

Unfortunately the construction noise will be present in January,
however, it will not be as bad as it has been in the past... The
construction is below the building and is just under the center.
Hopefully by January the construction will have moved away from the
center..The Construction project is expected to finish around the end of
the summer 2005.  Sorry for any inconviences this may have caused.
