Nowadays, there is no doubt that movies are popular all over the world. However, why, you may wonder, are movies so popular in the world? As far as I am concerned, there are several reasons can answer the question. In this article, I will elaborate my view as follows.

To begin with, watching movies is an ideal measure to relax and it can contribute positively to the health of people. Nowadays, because of the fierce competition in our society, people have to work very hard in order to obtain more achievements. After a whole day’s hard working, they usually become tired and exhausted. At that time, people can go to the cinema to watch one of their favorite movies and they would enjoy themselves when watching the movie. That is to say, during the movie watching, people become relaxed and can reduce their psychological pressures to the minimum level.

Furthermore, watching movies with friends can improve people’s friendship quickly by using a little time. As everybody knows, because of the fierce competition of nowaday’s society, people always work hard in order to have better lives and almost have no time to communicate with their friends. Movie watching may take you half and an hour; however, it can strengthen the tie of friends. In other words, during the movie watching, friends can communicate with each other about the movie or discuss some problems they confront in their daily life. In this way, friendship would be enhanced well.

In addition, there are a lot of good movies that may give positive impact to us. In other words, we could learn lots of thing from that kind of movies, such as the right view of value and view of life. Take << Gone with the wind>> for example. I have seen the famous American movie << Gone with the wind>> and the heroine in the movie give me a very deep impression because of her strong belief. Although the whole country was in a war and she lived in a poor situation, she always tries her best to do everything and always tell herself “Don’t give up”! For this reason, she sets a good example to me and the spirit that she has always encourages me to do whatever I want.

In final analysis, according to my previous elaboration, movie watching can provide numerous benefits to people. Therefore, that is why movies are popular all over the world.
