关于where的修饰

Manhattan里面关于where有一段话： "where" can be used to modify a noun place such as area site,country or Nevada. where cannot modify a metaphorical place such as condition, situation case......

那请问经常提到的 ...reach a point where.....中point也是个抽象地点， 在GMAT里面算错的吗？

个人觉得reach a point at which更好一点，在gmat中具体的地点，国家，地域使用where，而类似于situation/case/condition这汇抽象的place表达，用in which这类的更合适

嗯  我觉得 ....point at which 和 .....case in which 更严谨。          大家都说说吧~

GMAT中的“家规”比较严格，毕竟它是种语言测试，不同于通常。在平时where的用法很广泛，在定语从句中表达抽象名词也是很合理的。给个例句：
As personal injury claims continue as before, some courts are beginning to side with defendants, especially in case where a warning label probably wouldn't have changed anything.
