BC may have a decent reputation in Boston, but there are too many elite b-schools in the NE, Harvard, MIT, Columbia, NYU, UPenn, Dartmouth, Yale. Companies will make the short commute (2-3 hours driving) to one of these schools before going to BC.

In SE US, besides Duke and UVa, UNC competes well against Emory and Georgetown. UNC also benefits from its close proximity to Duke. Sometimes, companies will save cost by making one trip for both schools.

BC reputation好的是本科。
另外New England是不包括New York，Penn的呀……东北6州耳

我来补充下UNC的consulting，MBB都在UNC的key recruiters里面，Deloitte consulting的一个partner是UNC校友且该大牛在UNC是healthcare consulting课程的co-instructor.
我去campus visit的时候旁听了consulting skills & frameworks这门课，讲课的教授来自Mckinsey，讲得很赞~不记得是不是Paul了。

给LZ一点我参加UNC活动获得的信息，没有在校生准确，仅供参考：

UNC的consulting是很强的，the McKinsey Mind的co-author Paul N. Friga 在UNC执教。

UNC是Deloitte consulting的大客户来着。他们网站上公布了08-12年所有学生的placement情况（包括公司职位国家，学生名字匿去），你可以参考一下跟你的CG是不是一致。（虽然学生只分了domestic / international，但是一般去HK或China office的，大部分是中国人吧）

Well, first of all these are both very good options!! So congratulations!!!

My advice would be to you first of all to visit if possible, so that you make the right decision for yourself. But I do understand that this is not always possible, (but still, if you can do it, DO IT!!!) But my tendency would be to recommend UNC as it is much higher ranked. Don't worry about location. It's a school from which lots of people go and work anywhere along the east coast afterwards and not soooo regional, so you should have plenty of opportunities. That plus the far better ranking, makes me suggest this school, if you feel you fit there.
