you received this possibly because you meet their minimum criteria. I even got an email from UNC Chapel Hill telling me that they have created an online application id for me..., it's just their promotion strategy, it has nothing to do with your chance of being admitted within the pool that meets the minimum requirement.

美国Top商学院最近两年招生不足，都想办法来扩大生源，这当然是指20名以后的学校。

中国大陆越来越成为美国学校的主要招生来源，20名以前的学校还不用太担心，中国大陆的学生再少，每年200-300人还是有保证的，20名以前的学校都能够招满，20名以后的就要想办法了，尤其是那些地点不算太好的学校（相对于纽约、加州、芝加哥这些大地方来说）有素质的学生本来就是商学院的产品，没有高素质的产出，哪里来后续的资金支持？生源不足，商学院的Dean们比谁都急。

当然也不是说商学院就降低了标准，2004年可能标准稍微调低，2005年难说就会上浮，招生也是符合市场规律的，签证稍有松动，底线就会上调，何况美国经济不是想象中的那么糟糕。
