Hi there, my friend! First let me say, your list is great, and you have a solid understanding of your background. Here are your two major advantages: international education & rich work experience. But, as you mentioned, your GPA is less than competitive, so you’ve got to have a good plan to support your switch in major from MIS to MSF. The key to a strong application in your case lies with your essay. The essay is crucial because it’s the chance to display yourself as a unique individual. You want to highlight your strong work skills and achievements, and also present a clear vision for your future career. You must convince the admissions committee that you absolutely NEED their program to gain the knowledge that will lead you to your ultimate career goals. Finally, your GMAT score is another important part of your application package. Considering that your GPA is on the low side, you can truly prove to the admissions committee that you’re qualified by achieving a high score on the GMAT. Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any further questions! Jon Frank HBS 2005 -- by 会员 JonFrank (2013/1/21 14:21:06)
