但是中间那个in the form of carbon dioxide不是插入语吗，插入语不是跟句子没什么关系吗，为什么OG要那么说啊。B到底错哪了呢~~~求解释~~

OG的解释就是说B选项容易让人理解为Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than (acquiring) fungi 。而in the form of carbon dioxide只能是修饰carbon 而非 fungi，所以B错。

in the form of carbon dioxide 这个可不是插入语，是修饰语。楼上的NN们解释的很对，我提供另一个  句子修饰紧凑性的角度，句子通常说  谁比谁怎么样，反过来看B  谁怎么样 比谁。所以培养下这样的句子语感即使很多生词也能瞬秒题。

这个。。。其实我不懂LS为什么要区分是插入语还是修饰语，其实这里虽然是起修饰作用但还是插入成分啊~ Lz，插入成分是可以去掉后再看句子，不影响句子的大意，但不代表它放在句子任何地方都可以。。。
