我的看法:
except for用于不同类事物的排除.
excepting用于同类事物的排除,放句首.
Besides与上面两者的区别是包括其后面的内容,而上面的两个是不包括,从整体中减去.
而with the exception of 永远不对,因为不够简洁.

excepting: 除...以外，一般用在not,always,without之后

eg: The whole army was sent to the frontier, not excepting the sick general.

stage这里应该是“登台表演“的意思，好象也可以指某不戏剧上演了；

说实在的，这题我根本没有太多考虑句子意思，因为这道题主要在考语法（而不是意思），B的WIH明显不对，C的being staged独立主格是错的，D的EXCEPTING的这种单独的用法比较罕见，E更是混乱。
