B和C咱来比较一下:因为前面出现since这个信号词,意味着使用完成时态(C错);more and more是放在littered前还是后,咱都来看一下,意思区别: Orbits become more and more littered.——orbits受污染的程度越来越严重。 Orbits become littered more and more. —— 受污染的orbits数量越来越多。 郑重修饰问题,还是要看动作着的初衷是什么,根据A来推测,一定是程度,而非数量。(C又错) 还有一个类的修饰问题:resulting from和from哪个更好,resulting from通常应该直接有个名词性的东西修饰,如果是逗号加resulting from通常会使用as a result of。 -- by 会员 sisichen666 (2012/11/24 17:10:18)
这里有个疑问, 我的理解 S V O, comma+Ving结构, Ving 不可以用来表达 为SVO 原因,只可以用来表达SVO的结果 , 不知道这样理解对不? -- by 会员 abjure (2012/11/24 19:19:28)
我开始也在思考这个问题,但是我觉得comma+Ving,如果ving直接为内容而内容又是原因(而不像这里的resulting from不是直接的内容,而是带有连接感觉的词),那么是不对的~ 但是这里是resulting from,假设它可以做adverbial modifier,可能可以理解为伴随动作或者伴随状态~ 我查了ron的解释,这里主要的问题是resulting from不能做adverbial modifier~ 就像sisi说的,一般要变成as a result of/with the result that.../...(暂时就想到这两个),而这两个也不涉及comma+ving结构~ ron对resulting from的解释:consensus is that you just can't have 'resulting from' after a comma. you can have it as an adjective modifier, without a comma - as in the following sentence: the flooding resulting from the abnormally strong storms had left six inches of standing water in the street.note that the boldface is an adjective modifier, modifying 'flooding'. it appears that on the gmat, as well as in standard written english in general, 'resulting from' after a comma is generally considered unacceptable. -- by 会员 yiqing2012 (2012/11/24 20:49:44)
