这题选C，我的问题是D、E 两个选项

能不能解释一下D选项的句子结构？ D选项在OG 上的解释是“The structure here is grammatically incoherent ”...  介个实在是解释的太简略。。。。不明白啊~~

还有E 选项的解释是"Despite being called a sea indicates , somewhat illogically, that the largest lake being called a sea would lead one to expect it not to be the Caspian" ，也不是很明白~

despite和in spite of后面都加比较短的名词性词组，如果比较长或者那个意思无法用名词性词组表达，都应该换用让步状语从句，另外看到being就排除是一个做题窍门，基本99%都对。
og的解释意思是如果这样用的话，逻辑主语就是 the largerst lake ，而不是Caspian，意思上就有区别了，所以除去别的错误不说，E选项至少要把主句的主语和表语交换

至于D就是结构混乱，本身就结构混乱的句子，你还要我怎么说他的结构是什么呢，对不

D选项里though 和but同时使用有问题，而且though后面跟的是省略句，而but后又接了完整句，不对称。这样改或许会好些：Called a sea but actually the largest lake on Earth,the landlocked Caspian covers
E选项的逻辑意思有问题，也就是OG的解释Despite being called a sea indicates , somewhat illogically, that the largest lake being called a sea would lead one to expect it not to be the Caspian" despite 表示句意为转折，前面是called a sea 所以主句就应该是sea的反义词lake对应，而E中把这种逻辑对应关系弄反了。简化后句型应该为：Despite being a sea, it's actually a lake.

根据manhattan的modifier那章对应的og题目 没有看懂og关于 E的解释，搜了gmatclub之后 解释如下
“In E, called seems to refer to lake, but the intention here is to say that the landlocked CASPIAN is called a sea. Eliminate E. ”
