求问~~关于statement of interest

这个问题从去年到今年，困惑我很久了。加国的学校一般要求statement of interest
官网上一般会这样写：
A Statement of Interest – a one-page statement outlining your objectives in undertaking graduate study.
或者：
A statement indicating why you wish to pursue XX program

对于这些，我的理解是，只要写清楚“你的goal，你的interest，这个项目怎样适合你”就够了（至少重点应该是这个）
但是，大多数的文书资料，或者大牛们贴出来的自己的SOP,中间有很大的篇幅，是在讲自己的经历，自己的成就，自己的能力，然后再开头或者结果说一下，自己的goal。
可是这样的话，是不是不太符合要求呢？

一个曾经在admission committee里的professor跟我说，谈过去的经历是justify你的goal，就是谈你的incentive to apply for this program……以及过去的经历是如何make you well prepared for this program, 以这样的逻辑的话，这个就不是不符合要求吧？
不过我不太了解lz说的这个statement of interest的具体要求，这只是一点common的建议~

一个曾经在admission committee里的professor跟我说，谈过去的经历是justify你的goal，就是谈你的incentive to apply for this program……以及过去的经历是如何make you well prepared for this program, 以这样的逻辑的话，这个就不是不符合要求吧？
不过我不太了解lz说的这个statement of interest的具体要求，这只是一点common的建议~
