In the daily life, people are always confronted with a lot of questions, analysis of which will help people make better decisions. One of such intriguing issues is whether to study alone or study with a group of students. When facing this question, different people will present different answers due to respective experiences and standpoints. As far as I am concerned, I would like to choose to study alone. The reasons are listed as follows.
To begin with, studying alone could improve the efficiency. In a group, it is difficult for a student to get a quiet environment to concentrate on his study. He may be always interrupted by others even if he is busy in fulfilling an emergent assignment. However, by studying alone, a student need not necessarily worry about being annoyed by others. He could totally avoid some distraction and focus his concentration on the study well. Thus the studying efficiency will be substantially improved and students are more likely to attain more achievements.
Next, students can develop their capability of solving problems independently. Such ability is one of the most essential skills for people to do work successfully in the future. People have to deal with urgent situations independently on some occasions. For example, a doctor must put forward correct plan to save a patient in an emergency. Studying alone is beneficial to a student to foster the independence. When trapped into difficulties during his studying, he will not just look for help from others to get the answer easily as those studying with a group often do. On the contrary, he will try his best to do hard work until finding the right key. As a result, his capability of solving problems independently will be enhanced greatly.
In addition, students will enjoy more freedom by studying alone. They could study according to their own habits, methods and schedules. For instance, when a student feels tired, he could stop immediately and listen to some music to relax if studying alone. Nevertheless, studying with other students together, even though he is exhausted and really needs some rest, he could not stop. From this aspect, it is advisable for students to study alone.
Of course, studying with a group has its own advantages, such as cultivating team spirit and etc. But if all the factors are contemplated together, the advantages of studying alone will carry more weight than those of studying with a group of students. So, for the reasons which have been discussed above, it is safe for me to draw the conclusion that studying alone is more preferable |
