P2 In some circumstances, patience is not a good thing and instead we should take action at once.
Action depends on thought. Even thought there are no two people are exactly identical, in general, people can be categorized into two types---with patient personality, which means people possess strong tolerance ability and with impatient personality, which presents as taking action impulsively.
Despite it is believed that a impatient manager, who is also an instant decision-maker, is always more admired by employers to some extend, because employers can get instruction in need immediately. Meanwhile, a group of impulsive decision-makers can save more time from discussion. However, in terms of the effectiveness in making decision, patience, which means a quality of tolerant, re-thinking behavior and good-nature emotion, is a favorable choice in certain condition.
Firstly, in the public relation field, patience, especially from the tolerance aspect, is a essential principle for success. Patience in international public relation means take different voices into consideration, balance them and give different replies to various sides. Apart from multiple considerations, in public relation industry, the mild attitude is also a inevitable quality. The mild quality is an element of patience. For example, the island dispute issue between China and Japan has intensified in recent days. If Chinese government makes a decision by emotion, the war should have already broken out, it is a no disputable fact a large amount of people will be in miserable life that leading by war. To sum up, patience, as an essential norm in public relations issue, is worth to be rewarding.
Secondly, for a chemical experiment class, as far as i concerned, patience is a vital quality for students, or it will be really dangerous if anyone take action without thinking. As far as I concerned, I used to design a experiment to test which two reagents are best partner for making a certain plastic. Only by examine possibly alternative reagents one by one, and day by day, I have the chance to figure out the result and make it convincing. Otherwise, without patience, it is possible that I have already given up my project at the first day or to some extend, leading to a lab accident, which result from I lose my patience and choose a substance adding to the tube randomly.
All in all, dispute an impulsive decision maker is more efficient in problem-solve, however, the effectiveness is a more essential value in certain condition, chemical experiment and public issue for example. Thus, patience is an inevitable quality and is worth to be put in the first place. |
