Well, in a setback or failure question, actually I think that the main focus of the text should be on the setback or failure itself. We want to SEE you in action when things are going poorly. How you make your decisions. How honest you are about your failings, and what you do in times of crisis. Afterwards there is definitely a tendency to finish off with a “happy ending” about what you learned and how you fixed things. And this is fine. And can even work very well. But I don’t think you should make it the FOCUS of the essay. It’s just a nice way to end on a positive note. Hope this helps!
