twe 096 people have different ways of escaping the stress and difficulties of modern life. Some read; some exercise; others work in their gardens. What do you think are the best ways of reducing stress?
Nowadays, people usually undertake more stress than before due to the fierce competition lying in the society. How to escape and reduce the stress is becoming an important issue. When facing this question, different people will present different answers depending on respective experiences and standpoints. Some choose to read; some do physical exercise; and others work in their gardens. As far as I am concerned, I would like to do physical exercise to reduce stress. The reasons are listed as follows.
To begin with, doing exercise can help people obtain physical fitness which is one of the most important factors to reduce stress effectively. If a person is not healthy enough, he will not have abundant strength and energy to experience much stress and can be easily defeated by various difficulties. Gradually, he may become more and more depressed. However, if he does physical exercise regularly, such as running or swimming, he will become more energetic during the process of working or studying and be more likely to attain more achievements. Such achievements will consequently reduce the stress greatly.
Next, during the exercise, people can make friends who are helpful to solve the difficulties. By playing a game together, all the players become familiar with each other. Soon one will associate some like-minded friends to discuss topics, to exchanges ideas and to get advice. When a person is trapped into some difficulties or stress, he can talk to his friends to get some beneficial suggestions. Take the homework for a simple example. If a student is confused with a difficult calculus problem, he could discuss it with his friends and may get the solution quickly. Thus the difficulties and stress will be substantially reduced.
In addition, physical exercise can help people to enjoy a good sleep. And a good sleep, as scientists point out, will significantly be useful to reduce stress. Human bodies are basically organisms which need enough rest to sustain stamina and energy. If a person cannot sleep very well at night, he will feel feeble during the day and cannot do his work normally. Consequently his stress will get much stronger. Nevertheless, doing physical exercise could mitigate the insomnia to some extent. After a laborious exercise, one will get tired and exhausted and can be easily fallen into a sleep.
To sum up, although there are many other ways such as reading or gardening to reduce the stress, for the reasons presented above, I think that doing exercise is the best way to eliminate the stress and solve difficulties. |
