我选了D emergence的部分我明白了 但是D的“than that”是对的么？ 还是只能是C的“than”直接用 问than后面的具体用法！ 大拜！

LZ问的than后面的用法，其实可以理解为：事物在不同时期不同状态的比较——现在evidence证明的complex life form 和科学家过去认为的life form 比较。因为都是life form，所以后面就省略了我们也经常使用Something is much earlier/ easier than sb. previously believed/thought/expected. 有些地方直接就当做idiom来用了。。。。
还有呀。。。。那个D！！！that which用着不搞笑吗？其实that which=what。。。。所以通过split就可以判断C是省略了比较的相同主语

这里是另一个观点，就我的个人观点：

就假设that是一个noun（指代的是emergence of life forms）

that后面说的就是一个比较：
你要让比较的东西，平行，对称，而且让人家知道你在比较什么
但是这里比较的东西压根不对称，或者说根本不知道比较是什么

不过that which倒是没有对过，在我印象中
