这道题还是不清楚为什么B和E的区别在那里，B中说前面那个事件其实是deal的一部分不可以吗？

B的问题在于，a part of a deal是同位语，也就要求前面一定有可以和它同位的成分出现。

但前半句，没有出现名词，可以和deal进行同位的名词，故错。

如果这么说，可以算对：The computer company conducted a purchase on Motorola,  a part of the deal....

这里名词性质的purchase可以作为deal的同位语。但本题中，缺乏这样的名词。

我觉得如果前面没有a part of就可以用a deal that will作为前面整个句子的概括性同位语。
