Just talked to a guy in the admissions office and also wrote an email to the person who is responsible for the tech things in the admissions office. Hope they may help! Will keep you guys posted of any progress.

great to know snow_mountain. here is what the tech staff said in her letter to me:

Thank you for your message.  It is normal to have the page refresh when a question is completed because many of the questions are edited at the time the applicant is completing the web application.  I am sure that using a dial up connection would be somewhat slower than a high speed connection  but  it seems extremely unusual to me that it could take an hour to complete a single page.  Did you here this from more than one applicant?

So, if there are any other Chinese applicants having such problem, pls. let me know ASAP.
