Do you agree or disagree that grades encourage students to learn

Recently, it is a heated dicussion that whether grades can encourage students to learn. The points on this problem vary from person to person. As far as I am concerned, although grades can do some good to students, its drawbacks outweigh its merits.
Admittedly, we cannot ignore that students tend to learn more when it is near to the examination. As we know, teenagers are always lazy. So some of them may even do not know about the textbook at all until the pressure of grades gives them the motivation to work hard. A recent survey conducted by the Chinese Educational Institute has shown that when the exam is coming , the amount of knowledge that are memorized by students is likely to increase a lot.
Nevertheless, the stress which are generated by the grades may expel the interests of learning away. According to recent statistics, when we are under the excessive pressure of work, we are more likely to escape rather than face it directly. Therefore, it is conceivable that worrying about the grades too much, teenagers cannot focus on their study any more.
Another point to consider is that the bad marks will probably damage the students’ confidence if they do not show excenllent acadamic skills in the examination. Without enough confidence, one person can hardly learns well. Take myself for example, once I got a extremely low mark in my Chinese exam, later I felt that on no account I wanted to continue to study Chinese. All my enthusiasm about learning Chinese has gone away since I deeply felt that I was so bad at Chinese.
Taking all these factors into consideration, we can natually come to the conclusion that grades decrease students’ passion about learning rather than encourage them to learn. Although examination is considered as a way to drive students to learn, it cannot really help students to learn more in a long run.

网络给我们提供很多信息 VS 网络产生问题 PREFER哪一种

It is universally acknowledged that the Internet has been gaining its popularity at an amazing rate. With the progress of new technology, it seems that we cannot live well without the Internet. However, the using of the Internet has its drawbacks as well as merits. In my point of view, I suppose that this phenomenon will undeniably create problems.
Admittedly, we cannot ignore that the application of the Internet does good to our lives. By surfing the Internet, we can get the latest news all over the world, chat with our best friends and families, watch any interesting videos and even buy any commodities we want to buy. Besides, Internet has made the world much smaller. For example, without internet, it’s hard to imagine that we can know about what’s going on in another country so quickly. However, nowadays it’s really convenient to be aware of any events of any region by using the Internet.
Nevertheless, the another side of coin of the Internet is on no account pleasant. For one thing, it brings about a lot of inaccurate information to mislead people. It is undoubtedly that we have received a great amount of information from the website, but how much of them are really based upon reality? We have no positive answer. Often, I watch the same events in different website and they offer me different information and opposite opinion. Thus, it’s conceivable that it’s the Internet that make the reality confusing.
What’s more, Internet lead to a large number of crime that has done extraordinarily harm to our property as well as our lives. Since Internet is a virtual enviornment, its difficult to distinguish between good people and bad guy. For example, some people disguise themselves as nice and kind gentlemen, but if you meet them in the reality, they probably take advantage of your trust to steal your money! A recent survey has showed that thousands of teenagers have once been cheated by the strangers that they met in the Internet.
Taking all these factors into consideration, we can naturally come to the conclusion that the widespread of Internet does engender many problems to our lives. Although it brings a lot of benefits and convenience to our life, the damage and harm it induces may probably be fatal to our life.
