TWE135向5.5分冲刺hncsxj

135 Some high schools require all students to wear school uniFORMs. Other high schools permit students to decide what to wear to school. Which of these two school policies do you think is better? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

There has been a controversy nowadays over the issue of whether or not it is worthwhile to demand all students wearing school uniform. As far as I am concerned, I strongly support that it is not a wise decision to compel all students wearing school uniform for at least two reasons. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.

To begin with, this requirement does not meet the needs of the trends toward diversity and growing population of minority in our country. Recent research reveals that two of ten students in Canada are international. They come from various counties, hold different religion believes and appreciate their own national costumes. In addition, the immigrant flux brings more and more Chinese, Japanese and Spanish to our country, and their children might prefer to their own colorful clothes. Therefore, demanding them to be dressed in the standard uniform is generally not favored.

Next, from an economy perspective, wearing school uniforms is unwelcome by many thrifty students. Because the school uniforms, which are generally formal styles, must be well tailored according to those fast-growing teenagers’ current body size, the uniforms will not fit them even in less than one or two years. Hence, the students from poor families always attack the rules related to school uniforms.

However, dissenters may argue that school uniform can help foster a sense of group cohesiveness, which is critical to a student. Obviously, considering this issue from a single perspective may be too narrow and potentially problematic. In fact, more and more schools do not require their students wear school uniforms nowadays.

To sum up, given the reasons discussed above, it is safe to draw the conclusion that wearing school uniforms is not favored by most students. Fortunately, those schools that still require students to wear school uniforms are trying to adopt effective measures to abolish this outdated regulation.

In addition, the immigrant flux brings more and more Chinese, Japanese and Spanish to our country, and their children might prefer to their own colorful clothes. Therefore, demanding them to be dressed(这个地方用主动语态) in the standard uniform is generally not favored.(这一段中的our country我怎么看怎么不习惯:(,GG改成the country吧)

Next, from(这个地方from?还是on?切磋一下:)) an economy perspective, wearing school uniforms is unwelcome by many thrifty students. Because the school uniforms, which are generally formal styles, must be well tailored according to those fast-growing teenagers’ current body size, the uniforms will not fit them even in less than one or two years. Hence, the students from poor families always attack the rules related to school uniforms.(这一段的理由,我的正好相反,规定穿校服就是让学生不攀比的,应该更节约,不过GG这个理由还是说的过去,开始吓我一跳)
