Please help me to understand the explanation on OG

The following words appear most frequently in the the explanation on OG: unclear, confusing, awkward, wordy..... Honestly, I can understand the last three, but not ever the first one - unclear!!! If some sentence is unclear, then it has to have something wrong grammatically, otherwise, everything has to be clear!!! It could have something wordy, awkward, or confusing, but never unclear!!!! How could a grammatically right sentence be unclear???? This word is killing me! It costs me more than 10 minutes every time! Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated! I think unclear can be also interpreted as confusing in some way. The most obvious case would be the pronoun unclear or confusing when there are more than one nouns can be served as the antecedents.
Another way of unclear or confusing could be the logical expression. When you intend to say something but instead in your expression you are talking about something else, thereby creating unclear or confusing.
I'm not sure whether my explanation is consistent with GMAC.

Thanks a lot! In the explanations, some points are given, like what you said - when there are more than one nouns can be served as the antecedents. When GMAC gives the word unclear, it doesn't say what is unclear or what makes the sentence unclear, at least in most cases. If unclear is a result of analysis, why not give the points, like other explanations? If not, then it would be a feel?
