GPA is not high, Any hope?

How important is the GPA in appling U.S. MBA?   Mine is not high, What shall I do? I saw one guy get offer from Yale with 2.1 GPA. Is that ture? Any other stories ?  

I need some " FIRE"  , I always truest the buisiness mind is the most important thing,

Mine is not high too, around 3.1.

However, my rank is about top 30 % in my class.

Using the optional essay, you may either emphasize your rank (if it is good) or explain your grades (any great activities in college?)
