Thanks for your information!
I have heard of the Wharton atmosphere, don't dare to go there. I don't want to get into very competitive environment.
I asked here because several people recommended MIT.

Oh, One more thing. Not sure why you like MIT so much. My boss is from MIT MBA, and he doesn't recommend me to go.

MIT Supply Chain is extremely quant (modeling, simulation, this is quote from my boss, may not be accurate), based on your past experience, if you want to do sourcing and so on, you should go to a school that focus on general management (Wharton, for example)

Helping out in the church is community service. (Sorry I am at work so I can only type English).
My major is in MS in Supply chain. Generallly speaking, Supply Chain doesn't have very high pay, especially compare to Finance and marketing. But it's easier to find a job. if that's your passion, then you should follow.

One more question, Since you already have son and your husband seems to be busy, if you get accepted by MIT, how you deal with family issue? Who will take care of your son? and your family will move to Boston? Then how about your husband's job?

Sorry for all the personal questions. I am also getting married soon (25 years old) and plan to finish MBA before having babies.

我自己真心想做的就是supply chain呐。说marketing或者finance有可能，是因为看到很多人进去不是都转了吗。我也不能保证我就不会转啊。
我正在筹划去其他学校visit。visit对我来说也不容易呐，住在middle of nowhere，随便去哪里，一去就得起码两天吧，儿子没人带啊。老公忙得整天见不着人。我总不能带着孩子去visit吧。
你这个community service的建议很好，可是我哪有时间呐。为了申请，这几个月把儿子送去daycare，家里已经入不敷出了。再说，都临申请了，我突然去做community service，adcom的人一看也知道梃虚的吧。不过我确实常常在附近的中国教会打打杂，周日帮忙儿顾，有时候有大的聚会帮忙做饭收拾什么的，不知道算不算community service啊。
我给你发信息了。

大致清楚了LZ的情况，也比较认同之前几位同学的inputs，这么几个问题吧：

1，LZ得把Post-MBA想做什么尽量想的清楚一些，supply chain or marketing or finance，去实现这些不同目标的路径就有些不一样，这个问题LZ自己得想明白
2，假设最后LZ是决定通过MBA来实现career switch的话，总体看来LZ在G的分数，之前的工作背景，课外活动经历上都很有亮点，而这2年+的career gap把LZ的情况搞的有些特殊，个人有这么一个建议，LZ正好人在美国，同时对学校又不是特别了解，建议LZ可以考虑挑选一些感兴趣的学校去做campus visit，一来更了解这个学校，这个项目，最重要的是里面的这些人自己是否喜欢，二来可以听听adcom对于LZ情况的反馈，之前在CD上看到的一些例子一般是在1年左右的gap，然后在美国考试申请同时去做community service，此类情况去到top school的大有人在

最后，如果LZ想更多了解一些关于各校MBA program情况的话，因本人今年也在申请，有需要的话可以offline交流，祝好！~

No matter which program I end up in, I will have no much time to take care of my son. Will either send him back to China or ask my mother in law to come live with us. My husband may relocate to wherever I go. Haven't thought about so far away actually, will focus on my application at the time being.

I'm planning to apply to MBA in about 2 years, by which time I'll have a few gaps too: 1 year for my first kid and 1 year for my second kid. I think as long as you are able to demonstrate a strong personality and determination, this gap won't matter. Being a mother and housewife does not change your fundamental personality which could be shown in your past experience. So go for it!!

两个Offer到手了，效果还不错。但MIT的还没开始申。明天去访校。R2冲击一下名校。等有好结果了再上来汇报。
