well, instead of fancy, i would use the word "intensive". There are not many programs that you have to take courses whole day long, self studying with four other students from totally different backgrounds, while sleeping less than six hours a day. however, i wont avoid the language barriers. Yes it is an disadvantage for Chinese students comparing to students from german or france. If you want to have more time to master french, Ok, GE would be better for you. You have to match the program with your background. In addition, we are talking about the quality, structure, advantages and disadvantages of the program. the result depends on yourself. Even MIT sloan or HEC cant promise that you are going to succeed in the future. As to me, it is the best choice for me in the long term as it meets all my needs.
that is what i meant. personally i highly doubt that a 'fancy' program like EMM can bring much value to your job hunting, it's true that u can experience different culture, learn more languages, but as a chinese passport holder, to land a decent job in Europe (if you wanna go back to china right after your graduation, that's another story), the first thing you need is LANGUAGE, not how many languages you can say hello, but the language you can speak during your interview, your work, your presentation, even to make a joke. several months in UK, in Germany don't help much with your German or French. -- by 会员 UBS (2012/9/18 22:02:35)
