I guess the girl should really ask herself, "What matters to me the most? Why do I want to go abroad? (If she wants to pursue a MBA) Why MBA? Why in a particular country (why not in China)? Is this 'going abroad' simply an excuse for me to escape from the current? Do I really love and care my boyfriend?" The boy should also ask himself, "Do I really love the girl? What matters to me the most, having her around me, or having a long-distance but cherished (by both) relationship? Can I stand, say, potentially losing the girl? If she is determined to go no matter what I say and how I feel, is she really the right girl, my soul mate?" In the end, as many other earlier posts have said, they have to do some soul searching, discuss the issue openly and frankly, and come to THEIR OWN answers. There is no boiler-plate answer to this question. |
