我是class of 2012,目前在纽约一家公司的corporate leadership program.

今天收到联邦快递，Darden给的半奖。
请问大家，毕业后留美的同学多吗？
背景：female, 国内TOP2本科，两年咨询，毕业后想在Washington DC附近工作, 目标corporate leadership program
诚心请教各位前辈，这类的program多吗？需要如何准备？

另，有没有寒假回帝都的前辈，求coffee chat~

总部在DC附近，又有针对外国籍MBA的项目的公司少的可怜。不过，可能每年到4－6月有些非MBA职位也会招一些外国MBA吧。这个时候Darden还是很有优势的。因为，DC附近好一点的大企业总部或者地区总部一般都在VA这边，当然也更青睐UVA的毕业生啦。


总体来说，找非金融/咨询类工作，对地域上不能有太高要求，否则很累。

学校对于Waitlist的同学有新的政策，具体内容如下：

We know that the waitlist is not the outcome that you were hoping for, but please do take this as a positive sign—you have strengths and qualities in your application that the Admissions Committee find desirable.   The Admissions Committee will review the waitlist with each subsequent round of admission, moreover.  Waitlisted candidates from Round 2 may hear from the Admissions office on the Round 3 decision notification date or after.  By the Round 3 notification date, Admissions will often narrow the waitlist down to a smaller number of people that remain on the waitlist throughout the summer.  We know that the prospect of hearing a decision as late as July is not ideal for applicants, and the Admissions team does its best to keep you informed throughout the process as they continue to make decisions.

In the meantime, please consider how you can improve your application, and keep the Admissions team updated on these efforts, as well as any promotions, change in work responsibilities, new involvements, etc.  Admissions also wants to hear from you if Darden is your first choice; please email and them us know that you will accept an offer if one is extended to you.  If you would like additional feedback regarding your application, you may reach out to Haley Whitlock Gyory at gyoryh@darden.virginia.edu]gyoryh@darden.virginia.edu.  Haley is the Admissions Committee member who is responsible for managing our waitlist.

想问一下LZ，Darden对Marketing背景的人有什么特别的要求或者看法吗？如果想在MBA之后转型做Consulting，Darden是不是适合？我是7年Marketing经验，很喜欢Darden，可是不知道会不会年龄太大了？

我们这届非常的diversify，感觉没有对某种背景有特别偏好。
MKT的背景找工作不是很难的，consulting firm招人也是很多元化的，如果你要找这个方向的工作，Darden是一个不错的选择。
另外年龄的话我们这届平均年龄跟你差不多，我觉得年龄不是问题。
