Since those are the sentences I met when I practiced an essay, they may look like out of context here.    Wish you never mind.

May I ask more questions? Do the words ,"exert" "utilize" "use", have the similar meaning? For example, we can exert(=use=utilize ?) the strength of  groups to solve all kinds of problems.

And "all kinds of" = "various" = "diverse" ?

I have been confused with those for a long time. Wish somebody kind to tell me the answers.
