关于OG13 从句that的疑问

刚刚开始准备考G，用的13th，虽然可能前面版本也这样解释的

我是直接用平行的方式选的，但是看后面解释的时候，它说“the studies indicate must intorduce a clause; the clause must begin with that and have a subject".
于是有点疑惑了，它这个解释是说从句后面都必须要跟that么，我查找了以下CD上门之前的一些讨论，有说是say／announce后面是可以省略的，现在仍然是这种说法么？？

宾语从句一般都是要加that的吧~~

GMAT语法里有两种错误，一种叫绝对错误，一种叫相对错误。
宾语从句不加that就是一种相对错误。
最好加上that，尤其是在加不加that作为考点的时候。

还有个问题请教，词典上indicate 后可以跟名词或名词性短语，但B选项后给出的解释是construction is not a clause, and a clause is required.按OG的说法indicate之类的词作谓语后面宾语一定要是从句么？
