Hello my friend--yes, you do have a chance at getting into a top program such as UIUC. However, as you know...this is going to be a stretch. Why? Well, your TOEFL is borderline, and as you know, this is one of the best accounting programs in the US. You only have ONE internship, and many of the people applying will have more than one. And some will also come from great companies as well, and it sounds like yours may be less well-known. So...what can we do to help? Well first of all, consider an additional internship. And ideally that will be at an INTERNATIONAL company, if at all possible. Secondly, when you do apply be sure to add a nice list of schools to your targets. Some stretch programs are just fine--but also some programs that are easier to get into as well. Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Washington, Baruch--there are plenty of GREAT masters programs out there. Go add some safer options to your stretch programs and youll be just fine when it comes time to apply. Hope this helps, and good luck!
