English Language Ability
For applicants whose first language is not English, evidence of fluency in English is required for entry into the Program. This can be demonstrated in a number of ways:
a) An undergraduate or graduate degree from a university where the language of instruction and examination is English, or b) Satisfactory performance on one of the following tests:
i. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) AND Test of Written English (TWE). A score of at least 600 on the written, paper-based TOEFL or 250 on the computer-based TOEFL test is required. A score of 5.0 on the TWE is required.
(MMPA institution Code 0982)ii. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB). A score of at least 85 is required.
iii. International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A score of at least 7 is required
.iv. Certificate of Proficiency in English (COPE). A score of at least 0 in the writing section is required.
