As per Len Brooks, MMPA is working closely with officers from ICAO to develop new curriculum that could bring MMPA graduate directly to the very final exam of Canadian CPA with everything else waived, this is HUGE advantage for Class 2015ers and everyone after them. It is still in progress and I'll keep everyone posted once there's any official updates on that, but this means MMPA is becoming even MORE VALUABLE than before, so save your question of "Oh~~does MMPA have any value after CA and CMA merges?"

I thought I should let you know…

Len decided today that with the outstanding interviews, Class 2015 is nowsubstantially complete.  Therefore, there it is very unlikely that there will be any further interviews booked.  It was added to the website this afternoon.

I know that this will be as stressing for you as it is for Len, Rose Maryand myself as there are certainly a large number of extremely well qualified applicants that we have not been able to accept this year.

I will be sending out individual emails to each of the applicants that didnot make it into the program this year.

We will develop an FAQ page with regard to questions such as “when can wereapply”, “will the minimum standards be increasing”, “will there be a rolling admission again or pooled approach”.  We don’t yet have these answers but will be discussing them shortly.

Len has asked that we change of review process for the balance of this year.  I have posted the change on the main page of our website and sent an email to all applicants that have offers outstanding, completed applications and incomplete applications. Here is the wording that has been posted.
“Due to a very significant increase in the number of applications received, we have suspended our first-come, first-served review process to allow us to review all applications received up to the deadline of January 31.  We will advise applicants of their file status and admission decision by the end of February. Application files must be complete by February 15 to be considered.”

12月14日更新：今天的Christmas Luncheon上Enola说至今共收到166份申请 比去年同期增长25%~~另外她圣诞节那会儿又要去Vancouver做info session了~~
另外到今天为止 我们class 2014已有2013 Winter Co-op job offer的大概有45人左右~~

11月12日更新：有关MMPA Class2015已经招满的流言 lz今日跟rose mary confirm过了 具体发了多少个offer她不记得了 但是交了deposit确认要来MMPA的 截止到今天只有18个 也就是说还有67个位置 rose mary原话是 I don't know where that rumor comes from, but we still have loooooooots of spaces~~~~

11月8日 我们班Derek同学(1月Co-op去安永)对国内童鞋的建议：好像有些同学在纠结要不要先去四大然后再过来。我还是支持去四大的。我在德勤待过一个term的intern和一年的full-time，我觉得还是学到挺多的，比我在银行实习的时候学到更多更相关的知识。至于辛苦和累，我觉得也就是一个business season，再累也不会怎样。至于加班费，在我的城市，广州，是有的，虽然不是很足。大概weekdays一天能有1-2个小时，周末一天能有8-10个小时。这个也是得看项目，但是也不至于一点都不会有。我在国内最peak的1-4月，基本每个月税前能有1k左右的加班费。我也有同学在pwc和ey工作，他们也是有加班费的。四大在这边的认可度要比国内银行高。至于外资银行，我就没有发言权了。大家可以参考一下。补充一句, 我的建议是针对那些想过来到firm去做audit的同学.如果来是想去银行或者industry的话, 就不适用了.

ATTENTION: As per Gallerina, IELTS按正常方式选到最后是只能送电子版的成绩 但是MMPA不会给下载成绩 所以只能是和雅思工作人员negotiate这个事 最后申请寄送纸质版的. 一定要沟通之后最后才能寄纸质版的. 因为当时我给雅思他们打电话说的是因为多大开通电子的渠道了 所以那个页面上选完学校就只能是电子版的了 如果他们不知道的情况下自己申请纸质版的 结果会是这个申请hold在那无法完成寄送. As per Lotus: 雅思分数MMPA接受电子版和纸质版。电子版的话就按照网站指示去选择就好。纸质版就选其他部门，然后再填写地址。最好发邮件告诉ielts要邮寄纸质版这件事情。都很快就能收到了。

LZ是24M 已参加过5月底的27M Orientation 对program有比较深入的了解 8月25日就飞回多伦多参加24M的Orientation 希望能将这个program的原貌 会计金融专业在加拿大的发展情况、就业情况以及未来发展的前景通过我第一年的学习和第一个coop work term给CDer们呈现出来 毕竟我认为从移民以及自身职业发展的角度来看 这算是一个性价比很高的硕士项目~~

<br />You don't need you diploma or official offer to start your 27m MMPA program~~Everything can be done with the conditional offer~~<br /><br />But in order to get the official offer (a piece of useless paper that makes you feel you're really a part of the program), you'll need to submit a copy of your diploma to MMPA. <br />MMPA的优势在于：<br />UT跟美国有会计硕士的大学比起来 国际综排还是要好不少的 学完回国的话也拿得出手<br />MMPA是27个月 时间长 学的东西多而且I assume会比较扎实<br />MMPA自带两个实习项目 基本能secure毕业后的full-time工作 这是个比较大的优势<br />MMPA过后可以参加安省省提名计划 不需找到工作即可直接拿到移民身份<br /><br />当然如果前提是跟美国相比您本来就不待见加大拿这个国家的话 MMPA只有劣势没有优势~~

<span style="color:#0162f4;"><font size="4"><strong><u>有关24m VS 27m </u></strong></font></span>我想把自己的经验教训和想法告诉大家：<br /><br />两个的<span style="color:#0162f4;">表面区别</span>在于 24个月的把第一学期（5-8月）给waive掉了 前提是 申请人在本科学习中已经将第一学期的6门课全部上过 course outline经adcom审核跟MMPA program的overlap75%以上 并且申请人在这些课程中都取得了至少B-（UT算法 具体到每个国家要去专门的网站算）的成绩~~<br /><br />而<span style="color:#0162f4;">深层的区别</span>在于 5月份到8月份的职业素质培训 简历修改 communication练习 presentation skills seminar 各公司info session 各大industry penal discussion 还有 networking events (career day/golf day/professional day/各大会计事务所office visit)<span style="color:#f10b00;"><font size="4"><strong>24个月的申请人是享受不到的！！！！！（虽然他们说如果你人在多伦多欢迎你也来参加 但是24m的90%来自中国大陆 谁会提前3个月来多伦多蹲着？）</strong></font></span> 在我看来27个月的人多交了那一万三千块钱绝对赚到了 不仅拿了学分 而且为找工作打下了坚实的基础 （根本就是交了正常的课钱 得到了这么多的bonus） <br /><br />recuirment officer Wadie曾经对我说 如果你夏季执意回国miss掉这些recruitment events的话 明年1月到4月的coop work term就<span style="color:#f10b00;"><font size="4"><strong>不要指望能去大公司工作</strong></font></span> 因为employer基本上在9月份放job posting之前的夏天 通过这些活动就已经内定了想要收的同学（当然本地人居多 这不稀奇 拼networking拼不过他们） 所以我们24m的9月份去了再怎么投简历也是没用的~~<br /><br />当然如果你个人能力极强 靠不靠networking都能找到工作的话 24m和27m对你来讲就没什么区别了 还不如剩下那一万三千加币出去玩玩呢~~ <br /><br />我不是怂恿所有人都去申请27m 毕竟这样对于真正没有会计基础的同学来讲非常不公平 但这个现状让我觉得24m很吃亏 我附件里的那张summer timetable就是即将过去的这个夏天 class 2014 27m的各位的时间表 除了上课之外有诸多内容 大家可以看看24m的miss掉了多少东西：<span style="color:#f10b00;"><strong>6个info session, 1个prof. day, 1个career day, 1个golf day, 4个panel discussion/session, 5个office visit (EY PWC KPMG Soberman BDO) 可能还有一些timetable没显示出来的~~</strong></span>(尼玛附件又传不上来 <span style="color:#f10b00;"><strong>想要的留邮箱我发email给你</strong></span>)~~等到9月份开学就基本上不会有这样的活动了 24m的同学需要在与employer互相没有见过面的情况下直接狂投简历 但对方是不是直接扔掉就不知道了 要看对方有没有内定人选~~<br /><br />有条件的24m 请尽早申请签证来加拿大呆着 哪怕不听课只参加活动也好 6月份的那些零星info session可以不去 <span style="color:#f10b00;"><strong>但是golf day/career day这两个万万不能miss掉</strong></span>（2012年的日期是7月13日和7月20日 每年都差不多）~~employer会在这两天里暗中观察 选一批看对眼的他们中意的孩子去参加之后的office visit 所以说 office visit是一个“有戏”的标志 27m的好多人基本上下家都要确定了 可怜的24m还在国内旅游跟同学聚会呢~~到了work term的时候能没区别么？

<br />非常适合，我个人就不是会计背景的。课程设置也会从基础的学起，还分为27months和24months的,你可以去官网看看具体的课程设置。本来这个项目就是不要求有会计专业背景的
