It is much easier for people to achieve success with their family members’ help now than in the past.





It seems that people always have desire to compare: am I smarter than others? Are we living in a era with more opportunities to succeed? Or, as the question goes, is success closer to us nowadays that in the past with the family helping? I would say no, as I have witnessed the struggle and paradox of our generation, even under family member’ support.

I general, We can find that the assistance offered by parents no more less than experience and interpersonal relation. But these two points are make no sense for our success at present.

First of all, nowadays, the experience from parent is not as vital as they would like in the past. So swift is the speed of social development that most of experience and knowledge from the elder are not suitable for us to gain access to the success. Therefore, even though parents could provide their child with enormous and desirable knowledge concluded from their past experience, it is less valuable to refer. Even worse, the out-of-date experience lead us have to spend twice effort to success. However, given in the past, the pace of updating of knowledge is not quick as today so that people can directly adopt the parent successful method directly; an heir of a huge amount of knowledge, generally, means a successful person.

Apart from the issue of problem, the interpersonal relationship also plays less significant roles in our brilliant future than before. Nowadays, people value and ethics have dramatic change; even the relationships between people are no longer pure. The increasing number of People weighs social relation by money and other material things. The values of material things are far overweight than relationship when anyone find them to look for the shortcut of success via parents social circle. A example could illuminate my opinion, my uncle Ye competed a job opportunities with three candidates two years ago. One of interviewer of the job was his parents’ friends who has kept contact with my uncle’s family and known the excellence of my uncle. We had thought my uncle is winner, but, actually, the interviewer chose other for the sake of 1000RNB. This case is not rare. But several decades ago, people treasured their interpersonal relationship, especially the friendship so that they almost could do everything for their friends and their child and, in turn, they could gain equal rewards. Consequently, it is easier for someone to gain access to success under parent’s social relationship backing in the past than now.

However, the comparison between two different times is itself ridiculous. With the fluctuation of social system and people’s notion, their seniorities’ experience and social relationship play various roles in the way of success. Maybe one day people will pay more attention on these two things again when their search for success of career and life.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Patience is usually not a good strategy. We should take action now rather than later.

Have you ever seen a merchant prince go to bankrupt overnight for the sack of a risky investment? Have you ever gotten a failure when you had participated in an approaching final examination without any preparation patiently? Have you ever regretfully told your business strategy at first time without any specific plan so that you lost a chance of advancement? If you have never had such experience, you would never know how vital the patient is.

First of all, we can not emphasis the important of patience too much, especially for a business empire. The ultimate aim of business is to increase profit. When a decision could impact the development in a significant way, to maximize the profit, it is imperative for people to creative and desirable marketing investment ploy patiently from multiple investigations, precise statistic analysis, up to accurate customer position, instead of taking action in hurry. Otherwise, it could be a disaster not only for the cooperation but also for the employees. For example, the CEO of a company must weight all of his opinions cautiously. Due to a miscalculation on his part, the company could incur significant losses. These losses might be so substantial that the company will be force to cut jobs in order save money or save the company itself. More worse, this huge enterprise could gradually collapse as the price of this decision. Therefore, it is impossible to overstate the significance of patient.

Apart from the crucial characteristic of patient, also, we can not ignore another important factor: Opportunities only to the people who are prepared, which ask a huge amount of patience. Chances do not show up every minute. Although taking action immediately sometime could help us size the tails of opportunities, the possibility is tiny and limited. In most cases, only via a multitude of preparation beforehand can we successfully catch opportunities and eventually reach our target; sometimes, the successare even at hand. An illuminating is that compared with my classmate-Sam’s failure, I got great performance in my final statistic paper. Admittedly, to be patient not necessarily means preparation infinitely, instead of taking action. Have you ever gotten tons of desirable job hunting information from some special courses? Have you even adopting various interview skill taught by teachers to win the work opportunity in the fierce job market? Have you ever appreciated the preparation courses offered by university when you acquire the chance of advancement? If you have never had these experiences, you would never know how crucial the preparation courses are. In my opinion, before student enter into social competition, the preparation course is imperative.

First, preparation courses provide a platform for student to acquire guidance of work. Students needs guidance from teachers, since their do not have an overall understanding of the work they are going to engage in. This means, before being faced with drastic competitions, students could have no blueprints for their futures. Just as a kid who is for the first time in a swimming pool could do nothing but to play with water. Therefore, it is impossible to overstate the important of courses too much. By this special course, knowledgeable teachers could give desirable recommendation that allow student to explore what sorts of job they are best suited to in terms of their skills and personality.

Furthermore, offering a preparation course is a better way for students to learn how to employ the academic knowledge into their routine works. The mainly aim of university is to make students comprehend the knowledge of their major field systematically to form a whole-scale prospect, which lead the increasing number of graduate are “the giant of thought, and the dwarf of action”.
