When comes to the education of universityor college, some people may argue that school is a place to impart knowledge,mold students' characters and encourage students to think independently, not aplace to inculcate employable skills. At present, however, it is essential forcolleges or universities to provide job preparation because the increasinglycompetitive job market.

Primarily, a better job preparation is agate to a satisfied job which suit the students' needs and interests. Throughjob preparation, students obtain the information about the companies'requirements and preferences of the job applicants and then they will have adirection to work for. Many companies may prefer job applicants who have greatcomputer skills or are the members of student unions. Without knowing this informationearlier, the students may don't realize they are supposed to enhance theirspecific abilities or participate in more activities. As a result, they probablylose the opportunities to enter their favorable companies. Obviously, a wellprepared job applicant is more likely to receive job offers.

Aside from the benefit of finding jobs, itwill also promote the opportunities for advancements in students' futurecareers. We, students, have limited experiences and chances of fulltime work.We may have no idea on how to get along with the colleagues or what behaviorswill be praised by the seniors, etc. Besides our working abilities, these kindsof factors are fundamental in our advancement as well. A good job preparationin school may help us to cope with these stuffs.

A third thing we should consider is that itis more efficient for colleges or universities to offer job preparation thanstudents themselves do. Colleges or universities will have more complete andmore authoritative information about the companies' needs, the job's careerpath and anything related to the job markets. Moreover, colleges or universitiesare more skilled and have more experiences at instructing students to findgreat jobs.

In conclusion, students attend colleges oruniversities partly because they pursue a better future. Therefore, besides thespecific knowledge, colleges or universities are supposed to offer a better jobpreparation as well to help students find a promising job more easily.
