high school students should take a course on basiceconomics.
Nowadays, some experts suggest that high school studentshould take a course on basic economics, for it is closely linked with ourdaily life. However, some parents hold an opposite opinion, thinking it is awaste of time and would distract students' attention from their major coursessuch as math and English. From my perspective, I strongly agree with theformer.
First and foremost, the best opportunity for economiceducation occurs before graduation from high school. However, some people maythink that economics is too difficult a subject for children and youth tounderstand, and such introduction should wait until college. Nothing could bemore incorrect. No one would even think of making such an argument for math orscience education. As we all known, the majority of students end their formaleducation with secondary school, and even those students who continue theirlearning at a college or university may not take an economic course. In this case, waiting until students are in colleges or universities to teach economics issimply a matter of "too little and too late".
Furthermore, economics stems from human behavior and isclosely linked with our daily life, thus through the study of some basiceconomic rules, we can learn how to deal with problems logically. Take savingfor example. Nowadays, most children and youth have more allowance than what islike before, but their parents fails to inform them the meaning of saving. As aresult, they usually spend money extravagantly. However, by taking the courseon basic economics, they would learn that the role of saving, that is, allowingpeople to do things aimed at improving their lives, such as traveling worldwideor learning a new technique. Besides, they can obtain some knowledge about howto make budget planning and how to use our money wisely. It is economicscourses that can teach us make end meet earlier in high school, instead of goingto colleges knowing nothing with the money management.
In addition, by taking a course in basic economic, studentscan have a better understanding of the specific area, which may be useful fortheir future study in colleges or universities. Take myself for example. When Iwas a high school student, my school provided a course on basic course forus.  Before that class, I knew nothingabout economy, thinking it is about equations and manipulation of numbers. But after the class, I found it was not as difficult and boring as I previouslythought.  Thanks to the use of activitiessuch as role play and group project, I can easily understand some fundamentalconcepts, such as trade, saving, and market value.  I really appreciate the experience, for itintrigued my interest in the area, and eventually, I decided to choose economyas my major in college.
Considering all the reasons above, I assert that high schoolstudents should take a course in basic economics.

Nowadays, some experts suggest that high school studentshould take a course on basic economics, for it is closely linked with ourdaily life. However, some parents hold an opposite opinion, thinking it is awaste of time and would distract students' attention from their major coursessuch as math and English. First and foremost, the best opportunity for economiceducation occurs before graduation from high school. However, some people maythink that economics is too difficult a subject for children and youth tounderstand, and such introduction should wait until college(until they attend the college). Nothing could bemore incorrect. No one would even think of making such an argument for math orscience education(such a argument指代不清晰). As we all known, the majority of students end their formaleducation with secondary school(secondary school这么一说的么?), and even those students who continue theirlearning at a college or university may not take an economic course. In this case, waiting until students are in colleges(enter into colleges) or universities to teach economics issimply a matter of "too little and too late".

Furthermore, economics stems from human behavior and isclosely linked with our daily life(前面也用到这个表达方式可以换一下 is closely related to our daily life), thus through the study of some basiceconomic rules, we can learn how to deal with problems logically. Take savingfor example. Nowadays, most children and youth have more allowance than what islike before(what is like...什么意思啊? allowance than kids before会不会更好点), but their parents fails to inform them the meaning of saving(省钱的意义?省钱的方法会不会更好点?这样可以说明take courses 能让他们学会saving). As aresult, they usually spend money extravagantly. However, by taking the courseon basic economics, they would learn that(delete that) the role of saving, that is, allowingpeople to do things aimed at improving their lives, such as traveling worldwide(worldwide是adj.having a worldwide trip)or learning a new technique. Besides, they can obtain some knowledge about howto make budget planning and how to use our money wisely. It is economicscourses that can teach us make end meet earlier(木有理解) in high school, instead of goingto colleges knowing nothing with the money management.

In addition, by taking a course in basic economic, studentscan have a better understanding of the specific area, which may be useful fortheir future study in colleges or universities. Take myself for example(take myself as an example). When Iwas a high school student, my school provided a course on basic course forus.  Before that class, I knew nothingabout economy, thinking it is about equations and manipulation of numbers. But after the class, I found it was not as difficult and boring as I previouslythought(thought previously).  Thanks to the use of activitiessuch as role play and group project, I can easily understand some fundamentalconcepts, such as trade, saving, and market value.  I really appreciate the experience, for itintrigued my interest in the area, and eventually, I decided to choose economyas my major in college.

Considering all the(these) reasons above, I assert that high schoolstudents should take a course in basic economics.
