When encountering a problem, there arealways two ways in front of us: one is tackling it according to the experienceand guidance left by forefathers; the other is attacking it via an innovativeway you create by yourself. As acceptedby most, if not all, of the public, the former approach appears safer and more reliablewith slight chance to fail, while the latter seems risky and more vulnerable tofailure. As for this case, in my perspective, considering the potential efficiency brought by doing so, I tend to suggest successfulpeople have the inclination to choose the latter one. Going through the history of human beings,it is not surprising for us to discover that every progress and advance in bothfields of natural science and humanities involves the break of the old fashionsand the formation of the new and creative ones, even though some of them may beconsidered ridiculous at first sight. You could not imagine what the world wouldbe today had not been those brave ideas and challenges. Consider all thesefacts above, although the new ways bring some uncertainties, even the hazard ofengendering counterproductive effect, they truly deserve these costs and thusare often picked by the successful, who understand these banes and boons insideout. However, knowing how to do something wellis anything but useless. It is the fundamental step behind every creative and novelideas and approaches. When we were kids, each of us started to acquire knowledgefrom learning ABC, in order to study and then master the profound skills in thefuture. Similarly, the breakthrough and creative thought of one problem shouldall stem from the modification to previous resolutions and ideas based on the proficiencyof them. If we skip the process of study the existent knowledge, our new ideasand attempt could only be found unpractical and turned out in vain. Having considered all the circumstancesabove, it is now safe to conclude that successful people not only spare noeffort in creating and inventing innovative means and solutions, but also dotheir best to equip themselves with and thereby make full utilization of the existingexperience and knowledge. |
