仔细比较一下AB选项还是有区别的：
句子是说，这个大种植园主震惊了XXXXXXX，放了那500多名被认为是他财产的奴隶（伴随状语）。潜在的意思是说，这个人吧，总共可能也就500多个奴隶，这下全给放了，所以，使XXXXXXXX很震惊。
考点是Rhetorical construction，A中的more than 500不过是slaves的修饰罢了，去掉再看句子可能一下就能明白了，the特指指的就是他的奴隶。
再说了，B中considered as就不对啊~consider后面应是宾语和宾补。即使consider处没有错误，前面的修饰结构也是不对的，如果是more than the 500 slaves就很有意思了，the 500 slaves如果特指他的的话，他怎么还能放多余500个呢~显然这样不合理嘛~

在GMAT中，只有consider A B, 而consider A as B是不对的用法。
