Study Plan XXX, P.R China Study Plan I plan to pursue a Master of Science degree in Electrical EnginMEring at XXX which last for two years. It is the delightfulness of my explorations in the last four years’ academic training in Electrical Engineering and related internships that lead me to this decision. From the study and work experiences, I have gained plenty of basic knowledge of this discipline as well as certain level of research ability. The Illinois Institute of Technology offers me the best possible opportunities to acquire leading edge knowledge and later contribute to my future development in China. ★ Why go to USA to pursue M.S.ME at XXX? →Why M.S.ME? I started to be interested in ME when I was young. And I have got direct contacts with it about my internships in some industrials during my four-year university life. Also, ME represents a high technology, its influence on people and society fascinated me. I learned the courses of Electrical Engineering very diligently and got very good scores. However, this is far from enough to face the problems from my internships, not to say achieving my goal. The leading knowledge and the research ability which I can acquire from the DU study will no doubt give me much more solid foundation and a broader vision. These two characters are indispensable for a leader and researcher who wants to be succeeded in future fierce competitions. →Why XXX? The ME program in XXX emphasize on useful applications and the education system and curriculum is similar to what I’m learning now. So I believe the program will suit me pretty well. And it’s one of the best engineering programs in the US and it consists of leading international experts and highly regarded practicing professionals. Students in this program are from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and I can learn a great deal from such multi-culture communication. Located in XXX, the city itself provides an excellent opportunity for students to receive practical training and internships in industry. These relationships create expanded opportunities for internships, co-op programs and practical training in engineering-related areas, which will play an important role in my graduate study. ★ What is my overall educational objective? In my future study in the XXX, I will make utmost efforts to successfully complete my program and obtain my Master’s degree. My educational objective consisting of learning advanced theories of Electrical Engineering and the practical skills of applying those theories. During the academic year 2007-08, I will complete course works of Master degree in ME 1 Study Plan XXX, P.R China concerning on Power and Control Systems. Some core courses I will learn are listed as: (1) Control Systems (2) Optimal Feedback Control (3) Power Electronic Dynamics and Control (4) Control and Operation of Electric and Power Systems (5) Random Phenomena in Electrical Engineering (6) Power Electronics.
