Position: Research Assistant insupporting Prof. Weiru Chen (Associate professor of Strategy, CEIBS)
l Master graduate planning to pursue a PhDin top management school
l Current PhD student aspiring to developcapability in both research and teaching
l Post doctor aiming to publish on toptier management journal
l 3-4 working days per week (schoollocation: Pudong浦东金桥)
l Able to commit for at least 2 years
l Prior research experience in strategy,OB/ OT, entrepreneurship, psychology, or sociology
l Excellent Chinese and English readingability
l Familiar with at least one statisticsoftware like Stata, SAS, C++, SPSS
l Able to work under intellectualchallenge and deadline pressure
l Assist research project on Chineseorganizational capability building and innovation (literature review, interview,survey, and data analysis)
l Assist teaching material development andEMBA class coordination
Prof. Weiru Chen teaches competitivestrategy in EMBA, EDP, and MBA program at CEIBS. He got his Ph.D. in strategicmanagement at Purdue University, USA, and served as a strategy faculty atINSEAD before joining CEIBS. He was awarded Outstanding Teacher at INSEAD in2005, 2011 and the Best Teaching Award at Purdue University in 2002.  rofessor Chen’s research is centered on innovation,organizational learning, and across-boarder business model transfer. He haspublished on the world’s leading academic journals, such as Academy ofManagement Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal,Research Policy and Strategic Organization. He has developed cases like Baiduvs. Google in China’s Internet Market (2009 EFMD Best Case Award), McDonald’svs. KFC in China, Galanz—the Chinese firm’s internationalization, Nokia’sstrategic change in the new mobile ecosystem, Platform competition in eReadingmarket.
陈威如教授，美国普渡大学战略管理学博士，现于中欧国际工商学院MBA, EMBA和高层经理培训课程教授竞争战略。2011年与2005年，他获得INSEAD商学院杰出教授奖；2002年，他获得普渡大学管理学院的最佳教学奖。陈教授的研究方向集中于企业创新、组织学習和跨国界商业模式转移。他在众多引领世界思潮的学术期刊上发表了文章，比如《管理学会期刊》、《组织科学》、《战略管理期刊》、《研究政策》、《战略组织》等。他的研究成果获得了战略管理学会年会最佳论文奖荣誉提名，以及管理学会年会最佳学位论文奖。他为教学开发了许多案例，比如：“百度与谷歌：中国互联网搜索引擎市场”（2009年EFMD最佳案例奖）、“麦当劳与肯德基：中国快餐连锁市场的成功配方”、“格兰仕：中国家电企业的传奇式增长之路”、“诺基亚在移动产业新生态系统中的战略变革”、“数字阅读：平台竞争在中国”等。
