我同意ae斑斑说的it指代模糊。补充下我的想法，C distorts the meaning.


Analogy:


(E) When I did my homework that was graded by Professor X, I used a novel method.
This sentence clearly expresses the meaning that I used a novel method to do my homework.


(C) When the homework that I did was graded by Professor X, a novel method was* used.
When was the novel method used?
When the homework was graded!
See what i mean? This sentence seems to say that the novel method was used during the grading process. Perhaps Professor X developed a novel method that could help him grade students' homework.

*如果我完全模仿C选项的话，这里was我该照猫画虎写成"had been"。不过我以上不想针对时态，所以姑且用was吧，这样时态上挑不出毛病，咱可以focus on我上面说的逻辑问题。

Same logic applies to this SC question.


Let me ask you: WHEN did the "a call for female enfranchisement" included?
During the drafting process?
During the adoption process?


The answer is obvious - during the drafting process. We can figure it out by extracting the intended meaning from the original, although flawed, sentence: "included in it by the author "
Therefore, the meaning in C is illogical. C says "when xxx was adopted, a call for ... had been included"


--另外，如alan所说，C的时态had been也存在问题。不过我个人是觉得，连动词的逻辑意思都错，那就错大了，我就谈不上时态问题啦~

正确答案是E没有异议，但是这个C啊除了完成时态的滥用，prep说这个it 指代很模糊 When A by B was adopted at C in 1848,  E for F had been included in it.  it前面这么多名词它指哪个啊。。。求解啊。。。
这个句子我觉得我觉得简化一下就成了When A was adopted in 1988, B had been included in it.请问这个简化是否正确？如果正确的话这个it 完全指向A木有很模糊啊。。。


P。S。代词在什么时候会出现指代歧义啊。。我这完全摸不着头绪，有时候一下就看出来了，有时候死活看不出。。。。

这个it乍一看是指代那个convention的，不一定是declaration。

我有时候也会钻牛角尖。
因为实际上做题目过程中读完一个句子后就会先入为主，知道他想表达什么意思，进而觉得后面的句子就是这个意思，指代根本没歧义。。
