Why do you think people should attend college or university?

When we finish the last minute of the high school ,most of us would choose to go to college instead of finding a job,though the latter would have an edge of earning more money.Personally,I would say that, questing the knowledge of nature and human society would be rated as the mostly held reason for entering the university.

Colleges are the places originate and seminate great ideas and knowledge。we would meet the distinguished scholars in seminars and lectures,the ideas they present would be enlightening and refreshing.The lecture impress me most would be the one held in my university, the lecturer are the famous scholars on creativity,he shared his ideas on globalization,especially the effect of Internet,those were quite thought provoking for me.Thanks to this lecture,I am interested in the creativity both in research and daily life ever since.In short,the colleges have facilitate me to quest the wonderful world
More importantly,In contrast to the learning by rote in high school,the life in universities would be surrounded by free air,which would bring out critical thinking.We may take China for example,students are under great pressure in high school in order to accepted by the extinguished universities,however we would be embraced by freedom when study in universities.In the class,the teachers would challenge the old theories with new data and stories;in the extra-activity,we would come across practical problems where knowledge in the books would not be instructive.Thus ,we would be cultivated with critical thinking ability ,which likely to be the more important ability in modern society.

Undoubtedly,Universities have provided not only tons of books to be read,but also starting places for better careers to students.Most prominent corporations would recruit people with advanced knowledge and systematic knowledge on a certain subject,i g, the research section would need fresh with a good research background .That is to say,university and college would play as green house for nurturing excellent young scholars.

Though the reason why people choose to enter the university vary from person to person,the ivory tower is a good vehicle for ideas and thoughts,which is supposed to be quite beneficial to us students indeed.
