我觉得应该选C，因为：

选项D中的its 并不象大全说的那样，指代正确，poison应该是 brown recluse spiders 所有才对，而不是bite所有，望指正！！

C有两个问题，首先their没有指代对象，因为C中spider不是复数，注意与A的区别；另外，the + a.表示一类人，infant本身可以作名词，而elderly只能作形容词，所以elderly前必须加the来表示一类人；至于bite's poison还是spide's poison，我认为两种说法都可行，但是从A的角度来看，原文是倾向于bite's poison的。

给出我的理解，看是不是能帮MM解开这个结：

一般我们用中文说有毒，有两种情况，一种是说：蘑菇有毒！河豚有毒！（这是蘑菇和河豚本身含有毒）。第二种是：这条蛇有毒！这个蜘蛛有毒！（这是说它们咬你的话带有毒素）。因此可能转化为英文，觉得很自然的就应该是spider有毒而不是bite有毒。但实际上，我们惯说的第二种说法，翻译成英文是容易引起歧义的。到底是蛇本身有毒呢？还是它咬你的时候带毒素？其实在中文里正确的说法应该是：“毒蛇！毒蜘蛛！”但是在口语里就简化为“有毒”了。这是对某一些特定的动物的叫法，好像蛇啊蜘蛛啊什么的，但对另一些带毒的，我们自己也不这么说啊，比如如果有蜜蜂刺上带毒，我们不太会说“毒蜜蜂”或“蜜蜂有毒”啊，我们一般说“刺上有毒”。

我倒觉得这题不是因为ETS狡猾。它大概没想过有这个文化差异。要让美国鬼子了解中国千变万化的中文表达那是太难为他们了。（连我自己都很差啊，否则不会这么罗嗦了，三言两语就把问题搞定！嘿嘿，以后继续努力，中英兼修）
