第一篇issue,没有列提纲,有用模板,因为刚开始不知道该怎么下手写。中间有一些不会的表达,就查了字典。写个过程挺痛苦的,主要就是中文说的特慷慨激昂,可是英文就表达不出来。求狂拍
135. Educational institutions should actively encourage their students to choose fields of study that will prepare them for lucrative careers.
Should educational institutions actively encourage their students to choose field of study that will prepare them for lucrative careers, as the speaker asserts? In a sense, I tend to agree that investing education to gain benefits is a good thing for students. However, the speaker begs question by overlooking the crucial role of anticipated problems and unfairly given them a second priority. In my point of view, both interests and market needs are critical for students to choose fields of study, and an all-sided consideration is needed when deciding the precedence.
Admittedly, education is an investment of time and money for people to have a promising future. It is reasonable for people to look forward to the biggest profit. If the educational institutions as a bridge between students and working market, providing enough and accuracy information to both sides, it would benefits for students and the whole industry. For example, educational institutions have statistical data about demand of each industry which is essential information for students to learn about employment in the future.
However, if students follow the suggestions which the educational institutions provided, it would lead to several results going contrary to our wishes. To begin with, a great number of students flood into a few fields such economic, law, medicine and so on, which have great possibly results in once popular industry and field appearing human resources surplus, overall revenue decline, internal competition of industry increased. In addition, no matter which the mentioned results happened, it would not only a vexing problem for government, but also an educational wastage for individuals. On one hand, governments have difficulty to development new industry because of lacking human resources which effect on produce structure of industry. On the other hand, individuals spending time and money, in the end, also have difficulty to find a job. Due to in his or her field, there are so many qualities applications for employers to decide which employee is the most suitable for the company.
A possible solution is as follows. Put education institutions into two parts. One is the universities are aimed at cultivate excellent talents, thoughtful and creative person with ability; colleges lay stress on trained personal, training vocational technical abilities. Another one is governments and educational institutions making a close connection with enterprises, industries, development of economics in order to learn demand; similarly, enterprise and industries provide information about talent requirements to educational institution.
To sum up, through the education to have a promising career is most people’s goal, it is without a doubt. However, blinding to choose some current popular fields would be a big block to find a content job which is against the original wishes. A reasonable solution is that educational institutions offer talent requirements from enterprise and industries to students just do a favor for them without inductivity. After all, student is the person who develops his or her career, not the educational institutions.
