我知道spawned 和extending平行，但是a giant fungus是做oldest living organism的同位语，也就是说rootlike tentacles的位置现在是同位语的位置，否则如果要和前面平行，首先必须是完整句，但是很显然不满足，但做oldest living organism的同位语显然是不合适的，但是这句子又不可能是错的，得出结论就是无解
我是这样理解的 Scientists have...discovered....这是整个句子的结构 后面的a giant fungus则是同位语。然后that再进一步解释a giant fungus究竟是个神马玩意儿~ an interwoven filigree of mushrooms and rootlike tentacles（that is）spawned by a single fertilized spore some10,000 years ago and （is）extending for more than 30 acres in the soil of aMichigan forest.
