在面试之前,我都搜不到面经,所以给大家写个面经吧。供后人借鉴!攒人品!本人背景:本科金融 面试时长:20分钟 面试构成:1道问题+case 讨论+ 原理应用+向面官提问 打过来的第一个问题就是:WHY THIS PROGRAM 然后就开始讨论case. 我的这个case excerpt 有5页长,包含了两个case(我把两个case的的summary of facts贴在后面哈,case的全文我就不贴了,这个pdf复制下来格式全是乱的。。),两个case 所运用了规则是基本一样的。 面官一开始就按顺序问两个case, 先是让你概括这个case到底争议在哪里,哪方获胜了,为什么法官这么判;然后会问你一些CASE里面的细节,比如法官阐述原理的时候的某一句话究竟是什么意思;接着他会举好多个例子,让你运用这个原理对他所举的case进行分析,假设你是当事人你会怎么做之类的。 哦,然后可能他觉得case讨论的差不多了,时间还没到,就问问我“你有什么缺点啊,你如何改进啊”,然后再给了我一个situation让你说那你改进后如何处理这种情况。 最后就是让你提问了。
感想: 1.我完全已经忘记了面官的名字,所以导致我不能判断他是哪里人,也没法去law school 查他的信息,看看这个人虐不虐。 2.然后我还犯了一个巨二的错误,就是我居然最后问他“你是学生吗?”。。然后他很无语的说他是professor。。看来HKU和美国的某些学校还是不一样的,不会让个大三学生或者MBA面你。 3.面试确实很灵活,突击准备很难。我傻不啦叽地准备了十几个behavior question,结果连个self-instruction都没有。。建议大家合理分配时间,有时间不如多去读点case,至少把专业词汇说溜了。 建议: 1.建议大家合理分配时间,有时间不如多去读点case,至少把专业词汇说溜了。我的面试经历证明他们还是会问一些涉及专业的问题。比比如他给我举个例子说如果我和他签了合同,两天后我不想履行了,我应该找哪些可能的方法让自己不用履行合同。这就是合同可撤销或者无效的情况嘛 2.面官语速可能会很快,最好避免被他带得说的很快,我就是不自觉被他带的很快,然后遇到想不起来的单词就傻了。还有要控制好自己的速度 3.一定要言简意赅。时间很少,面官不喜欢啰嗦。 4.阅读速度还是要有的。我阅读速度一般,但是20分钟内,紧张的状态下,读完这case没太多剩余时间,而且有些地方比较略。建议大家面试时拿到case一定边看边把重要和关键论点涂黄,这样好找。 5.练英语吧练英语吧练英语吧。不会说合同要件和合同生效条件的我真是弱爆了。。。。。少壮不努力老大徒伤悲啊。。

Summary offacts The plaintiff sued thedefendant (her husband) for money due under an alleged verbal agreement,whereby the husband promised to pay the wife £30 a month in return for her agreeing to support herself,in England, without asking him for any further financial support whilst he wasstationed abroad in Ceylon as civil servant. The trial judge decided in favourof the wife and upheld the agreement. The husband then appealed to the Court ofAppeal.
Jones v Padavatton [1969] 1 WLR 328 Summary of facts A mother made an arrangement(orally) with her daughter, who was employed as a secretary in the United Statesof America, that if the daughter would give up her employment (a secure job 3 asan assistant accountant, with a satisfactory salary and pension rights, at the IndianEmbassy in Washington DC) in order to read for the Bar in England, the mother wouldprovide her with maintenance at the rate of $200 a month. The daughter accordinglygave up her job, came to England and entered upon her studies for the Bar, and themother provided her with maintenance at the rate of £42 a month. Thatarrangement was subsequently varied, and under the varied arrangement the motherprovided a house in which the daughter could reside. A dispute arose between themother and daughter concerning the occupancy of the house and the mother took outa summons in the county court claiming possession of the house after having givenher daughter a notice to quit. |
