我觉得这道题考的就是GMAT的精髓哈 A选项不对是因为present participle 在放在逗号后面常用语准确的表示引起的结果 在这里result from并不是指前者引起的后果 结果 所以选B表的的更准确哈

恩，A选项后半句应该不能表结果，只能作为主句主语的伴随状态，语义不符

我来说个人对A选项的理解哈：

根据OG语文分册语法113题可以总结，result from一般修饰的是名词，as a result of一般修饰一个句子，他们的意义都是相同的：...由...引起。这道题中原文的意思是：海底的生物遭受食物供给的短缺。这个句子由什么引起，用as a result of要优于result from。
其次，resulting 放在句尾做主句的结果伴随状语，这里就变成了这项研究发现是由于海水表面温度上升导致的，而事实上它应该修饰revealed引导的宾语从句，所以这么用发生逻辑错误。
最后，GMAT中动词有名词形式的，都要尽量避免用动名词形式，而increase本身就有名词含义，用increasing显得不简洁。

谢谢啦！懂了！！~~其实主要还是逗号加分词作状语的用法没搞清楚~~现在懂啦！！
