很多帖子说做make it a crime for sb to do这样的缩写。
这样的话，punishable by imprisonment 应该是修饰crime。但是我还是读起来很奇怪，不太能理解这部分的结构。
谁可以解释一下呀

punishable by imprisonment个人认为就是修饰 crime的 因为你犯罪了，每种罪行受到的惩罚不一样，私藏金子这种罪是会被判入狱的，所以punishable by imprisonment 修饰crime，以表明犯了这种罪会受到的惩罚

我想求助，because of后面不是只能跟名词或名词短语么，这里的a law passed in 1933 making it...为什么是合适的？

因为 a law passed的passed是分词修饰law的。 because of 是名词law对的。 如果是句子的话，应该是a law was passed法律是被通过的吧~我刚开始也选错了。。哎···真是隐晦。
